Vocal Performance Directed By Joan Stiles | Fall '19 Ensemble & Recital Series

Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

School of Jazz Performance Space, Room I531, Arnhold Hall 55 West 13th Street, New York, NY 10011

Performance is a central component of every student's education at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, and the Ensemble Showcases are where faculty-led student groups showcase their talent and creativity.

Led by Joan Stiles, students perform and lead a rhythm section through all kinds of musical genres and self expression. In this class the singers will put into action the concepts they are learning in Basic Arranging, begin work on developing repertoire, learn the basics of jazz vocal style, and practice communicating with the accompanist.

Presented by the School Jazz and Contemporary Music at the College of Performing Arts
