Student Recital by Takahiro Nawashiro

Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm

School of Jazz Performance Space, Room I531, Arnhold Hall 55 West 13th Street, New York, NY 10011

Takahiro Nawashiro, a guitarist and composer, will be performing his own music for the first time.

This is first time for Taka to perform in front of the audience not only as a leader but also as a sound texture artist. In his senior recital, he is not going to have any other chordal instruments in order to explore the more complex harmonic context with guitar and to add more abstract sound texture by using guitar synthesizer with really tight rhythm section which includes Hwansu Kang (bass), Adriel Vincent-Brown (drums).

Takahiro Nawashiro is a jazz guitarist, composer and educator from Japan who’s currently based in NYC.
