Code, Poems, and Computer Viruses - A Job Talk by Todd Anderson

Assistant Professor of Code as a Liberal Art Todd Anderson presents on his creative practice writing interactive digital poems and designing live performances for web browsers, his research into digital publishing and the aesthetics of computer viruses, and his pedagogy designing and teaching classes such as Performing the Internet and Viruses, Botnets, and Ransomware: An Interactive History of Computers Doing Bad Things.
Todd discusses the importance of teaching code as part of a liberal arts education, giving modern citizens the tools they need to shape and critique the computational systems that govern more and more aspects of society. This talk is free and open to the public.
