Brazilian Choro, directed by Richard Boukas, is an eight-piece ensemble presenting Brazil's 150-year tradition of multi-genre virtuosic instrumental music. Composers include Ernesto Nazareth, Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, Radamés Gnattali.

Performance is a central component of every student's education at The New School's School of Jazz and Contemporary Music, and the Ensemble Showcases are where faculty-led student groups showcase their talent and creativity.
